Fedor Lazko

Traumatologist and orthopedist. Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.

Main areas of expertise: Endoscopic surgical treatment of injuries and diseases of the knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, and hip joints. Total knee and hip arthroplasty and corrective osteotomy of the proximal tibia for deformities. Development of hip and elbow arthroscopy, as well as the introduction of osteosynthesis technology for pelvic fractures.

1984–1987
Worked as an orthopedic trauma surgeon at Hospital No. 33 named after Professor Ostroumov.

1991
Joined the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia as an assistant, under the supervision of N.V. Zagorodny, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

1994
Established the department's clinical site at the ZIL factory hospital, which was renamed City Clinical Hospital No. 12 in 2006 and later City Clinical Hospital named after V.M. Buyanov, where he heads the orthopedic trauma clinic.

2005
Was elected Professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, and is actively engaged in research and clinical work.
