Deputy Chief Physician for Hematology at Moscow Multidisciplinary Scientific and Clinical Center named after S.P. Botkin of Moscow Healthcare Department.
He is also Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Oncohematology."
In 2011, he was among a group of authors who won the Moscow Government Prize in Medicine.

In 1982, he graduated from the First Faculty of General Medicine at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, specializing in General Medicine.
From 1982 to 1984, he completed a clinical residency in the Department of Hospital Therapy at the First Faculty of General Medicine at I.M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, specializing in Internal Medicine.
In 1988, he defended his Candidate's thesis.
In 2001, he defended his doctoral thesis in Oncology.

He has 167 published works in Russian and foreign scientific journals, including 9 chapters in oncology and hematology guidelines, as well as National Clinical Guidelines for 7 nosologies.
