Surgical and conservative treatment of upper respiratory tract disorders (nose and pharynx). Every year he personally operates on more than 200 patients with ENT disorders and provides about 1,000 consultations. Under the leadership of Professor A.I. Kryukov, high-technology surgical methods of treating ENT diseases have been introduced into the Institute’s practice in recent years.

Since 2001, following the reorganization of the Moscow Research Institute of Ear, Throat and Nose of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, he has headed the L.I. Sverzhevsky Research and Clinical Institute of Otorhinolaryngology, Moscow Healthcare Department.
Since 2007 — Head of the Academician B.S. Preobrazhensky Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Institute of Surgery, N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Ministry of Health of Russia.
Since 2001, following the reorganization of the Moscow Research Institute of Ear, Throat and Nose of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, he has headed the L.I. Sverzhevsky Research and Clinical Institute of Otorhinolaryngology, Moscow Healthcare Department.

Basic Education
1984 — graduated with honours from the N.I. Pirogov Second Moscow State Medical Institute (Order of Lenin).
1984–1986 — clinical residency at the Department of ENT Diseases, Faculty of General Medicine, Russian State Medical University.
1988 — defended a thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic “Development of pharmacophysical effects on the auditory receptor in sensorineural hearing loss”.
1990 — defended a thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic “Organ specificity of the inner ear and features of the pathogenesis and treatment of labyrinthine disorders”.
1991 — awarded the academic title of Professor.
