Rzhebaev Konstantin Eduardovich

Surgeon, Head of Surgical Department No. 1. In 2020, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, he was awarded the Order of Pirogov – one of the first in Russia – for his contribution to the fight against COVID‑19.

Professional activity is related to emergency and elective abdominal surgery. Proficient in the full range of surgical interventions on abdominal organs – both traditional and laparoscopic methods. Engages in postoperative patient management: prevention of complications, selection of analgesia and antibacterial therapy, wound healing monitoring and dressings. Possesses basic diagnostic skills: interpretation of ultrasound, CT and MRI data of the abdominal cavity, as well as drainage of abscesses and phlegmons under ultrasound/CT guidance.
Also holds certificates in surgery and oncology.

1994–1996 – clinical residency in surgery at the Department of Faculty Surgery of the Russian State Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov (based at City Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after N.I. Pirogov, Moscow).
1996–1999 – postgraduate studies at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Surgery of the Russian State Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov (based at City Clinical Hospital No. 55, Moscow); in 1999 defended his Candidate's dissertation.
1999–2010 – worked as assistant and associate professor at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Surgery of the Russian State Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov (based at City Clinical Hospital No. 55, Moscow), combined with practical work as a surgeon.
2010–2014 – Head of the 1st Surgical Department of City Clinical Hospital No. 55 (Moscow).
2014–2016 – surgeon at the General Hospital Department of City Clinical Hospital No. 56 (Moscow).
2016–2017 – surgeon at the General Dispensary Department of Oncological Clinical Dispensary No. 1 (Moscow).
Since 2017 – Head of Surgical Department No. 1 at City Clinical Hospital No. 15 named after O.M. Filatov.

1994 – Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, specialising in "General Medicine".

Completed a surgical internship in Switzerland.
Completed advanced training in surgery (2014) and oncology (2016) at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University.
