Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences D. Yu. Pushkar has been an actively practicing urologist throughout his career. The sphere of his scientific and practical interests is uro-oncology, reconstructive and restorative urology and urogynecology. Dr. Pushkar was the first to begin robot-assisted operations in Moscow and today possesses the greatest experience in robot-assisted urological procedures. Many operations are performed in various regions of Russia using the method of D.Yu. Pushkar. His unique experience in vaginal operations allowed him to create a separate scientific school, which ensured the best results in the treatment of complex urogynecological patients with urinary incontinence and genital prolapse. He is developing methods for the prevention and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia – prostate adenoma. For the most part, this concerns minimally invasive transurethral interventions, which allow preserving the quality of life for men of any age.

D.Yu. Pushkar is the author of more than 50 monographs and guidelines published in Russia and abroad, an invited lecturer and surgeon at various European and American congresses and conferences. Author of more than 400 scientific works, 7 monographs, 32 video films. Holds five patents of the Russian Federation. The only specialist urologist in Russia certified by the European Urological Commission. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal "Urology" and of the reviewer commission of the journal "European Urology."
