Bayandin Nikolay Leonardovich

Head of the cardiac surgery department. Winner of the Moscow Government Prize. At GKB No. 15 and in Moscow as a whole, he is a kind of "brand", a universal emergency cardiac surgeon, who has thousands of successful operations on hearts and large vessels to his credit. Even on holidays, Nikolai Leonardovich performs emergency open-heart surgery, which cannot be postponed due to a direct threat to the patient's life. We are talking about an acute dissection, in fact a rupture, of the main artery of a person – the aorta.

Proficient in modern diagnostic and surgical treatment methods for cardiovascular diseases, including:
• Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) on beating heart and with cardiopulmonary bypass;
• Minimally invasive coronary bypass;
• CABG with resection of post‑infarction left ventricular aneurysm;

• Replacement/plasty of aortic and mitral valves (biological and mechanical prostheses);
• Closure of atrial septal defect in adults;
• Carotid endarterectomy;
• Abdominal aortic aneurysm resection;
• Aortobifemoral and femoropopliteal bypass grafting;
• Treatment of critical lower limb ischaemia (including combination with endovascular methods);

1982 – graduated from the 2nd Moscow State Medical Institute, specialising in "General Medicine".

2016 – advanced training in "Cardiovascular Surgery" at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU).
2020 – additional advanced training in the same specialisation at RNRMU.
