Chronic kidney disease (nephrology inpatient unit). Kidney transplantation (resuscitation included) involves a set of intensive treatment measures aimed at restoring the function of the transplanted organ in case of acute rejection or critical deterioration. Treatment begins with emergency hemodialysis or hemodiafiltration in the intensive care unit. This allows to promptly remove excessive fluid and toxins, restore potassium levels, and stabilize the patient's condition. Concurrently, diagnostic procedures such as kidney transplant ultrasound and blood tests are performed. If the cause of deterioration is reversible (acute rejection, infection, or vascular pathology), corresponding therapy is administered, and, in some cases, kidney function is restored. If the cause is irreversible, the patient returns to scheduled hemodialysis, and subsequent retransplantation may be considered.
