A specialized device generates shock pulses that penetrate through the tissues and target the stone, gradually breaking it down from within. You may need this intervention if you have medium-sized kidney stones causing pain and blocking urine flow. The fragments pass naturally within several weeks, and pain and the risk of inflammation are relieved. You will return to your daily routine on the same day as the procedure.
